Tennis at Tryall

Luxury Caribbean Tennis Club

Tennis is a way of life at The Tryall Club and has been since we opened in 1959. With facilities that are ranked amongst the finest in the Caribbean, there are nine courts, 24 pros, hitting partners, and ball boys, with 14 pros in season, as well as exceptional training facilities and a reputation that draws world champions as well as world championships.

Conditions for playing tennis in Jamaica are perfect for playing year round. The four Agile Turf courts and five Nova Cushion hard courts offer advanced pro-grade surfaces that are synonymous with the world’s best courts. The quality of our courts is matched by a spectacular setting atop a hill, cooled by offshore breezes and with wonderful views.

Many of our pros are Tryall veterans, with decades of service at the Club. With extensive international experience they can provide tuition for everyone at our Jamaica based tennis resort, from absolute beginners to seasoned players. One-on-one lessons, specialist clinics and lots of activities for children. Over the years many internationally acclaimed players have enjoyed our facilities such as Serena and Venus Williams, Jim Courier, Marion Bartoli, Boris Becker and Owen Davidson. Children mean that The Tryall Club can cater for all of our guests and members needs.

We have four Pickleball courts at our Montego Bay tennis facility. Suitable for all ages and skill levels, Pickleball is a game of shot placement rather than strength and may be played at a leisurely pace or at a tournament level.

Guests wishing to play tennis are required to wear predominantly white apparel and tennis shoes. Guests enjoy complimentary access to the courts and equipment rentals.

Lessons are available.
