Favourite Holes

Four of Tryall’s finest holes, as chosen by our golf pros.

#4, 175 yards, PAR 3
Our signature hole. A par 3 where the tee shot must carry Flint River located short of the green and avoid the Caribbean Sea to its left. The Trade Winds, which traditionally blow from the Sea, merely add to the challenge.

#7, 435 yards, PAR 4
A spectacular and historic par 4. The tee shot on this uphill, left to right dogleg must be driven between Tryall’s 200+ year-old aqueduct and the approach shot is played to an elevated green which is located beneath the historic Tryall Great House.

#11, 500 yards, PAR 5
A challenging uphill right to left dogleg par 5 that plays longer than the yardage suggests. This hole showcases many of the indigenous trees of Jamaica: All Spice, Bread Fruit, Mango, Ackee, Guango, Sour Orange and Birch all line the 11th fairway.

#14, 450 yards, PAR 4
This stunning, but demanding downhill par 4 offers awe-inspiring views of the Caribbean Sea. The fairway sweeps downhill from right to left and leads to one of the trickiest greens complexes on the course.

If you’re caught on a golf course during a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron. Not even God can hit a 1-iron.
